Andersen Racing's Jorda
Goes 2 Seconds Faster
In Firestone Indy Lights Qualifying at Barber

LEEDS, Ala., April 10
- Even though she wasn't feeling well, on Saturday
morning Andersen Racing's Carmen Jorda cut nearly 2 seconds off her previous
best time at Barber Motorsports Park during qualifications for Sunday's
Firestone Indy Lights race.

The 21-year-old rookie's best time during practice on Friday here was a
1:20.4262 (102.952 miles per hour), but on Saturday morning she qualified 16th
with a lap in 1:18.4781 (105.507 mph) for the 17-turn, 2.38-mile road course
in the heart of Dixie.

Her best lap was the 12th of 17 she ran in the qualification session. She
did 36 laps here in practice on Friday.

Three drivers had their best laps invalidated for causing full-course
cautions during the 45-minute qualifying session, but Jorda, who is from Alcoy,
Spain, was not one of them.

Her Andersen Racing/ASAP Sports/Allied No. 4 is sponsored by ASAP Sports,
NTGS.es, iHOLA!, Air Europa, pepetravel.com and Allied Building Products Corp.

This is the first appearance of the IZOD IndyCar Series or Firestone Indy
Lights at this particular facility, so both the pole positions were automatic
new track records. J.K. Vernay won the pole for the 40-lap Firestone Indy
Lights race, which is scheduled to start at noon Central time Sunday after a
warm-up session at 8 a.m.

The race will be covered via a Webcast on indycar.com. Andersen Racing's
Web site is at andersenracingteam.com. More information on Jorda is
available on line at carmenjorda.com.

Andersen Racing, which is sponsored by Allied Building Products Corp.,
